To south

It doesn’t mean when the sun is out and the weather is hot, you should only wear bright-colored pieces for an outing. Instead, I decided to wear a very light mini halter dress with a denim polo (used as a cover up) and a suede jelly flats.I don’t care if a lot would say, “aren’t you feeling hot?” “why are you wearing that denim polo?” “isn’t it summer?” “why are you wearing dark colored clothing?”. I know it’s summer and those bright colored pieces are on trend. But who cares if I’d given a go to this kind of outfit. It didn’t make me feel sweaty at all. Actually, it made me more comfortable throughout the trip. Yes, ang laki ng pinaglalaban ko. HAHA! Kidding! Btw, I paired mini dress with a polo because I want my everything to be balanced. That’s why I came up to this. Aryt. :)

Enough of the blah blahs about the outfit. I am just really excited to share with you my experience during my trip to south. But to make you feel excited too, I will be posting it on my next blog. Okay? Sorry for the short post! *giggling*

I hope everyone’s enjoying their summer vacation too! :)

Hi everyone! I actually had a hard time to think of a title for this post but I ended up to a summer-related title. I know it’s not summer yet but this outfit post seems like I am already excited for it. I wouldn’t deny cos I really am hahaha! Please bear with me. It’s a big opportunity for me to have another vacay since I’m finally free from summer classes this year. Good to hear right? I’ve entered and suffered attending school on a hot season for the past two years because of my program’s curriculum. So now, it’s time for me to make “bawi”. I’m currently starting to list all the things that I want to do. And I just can’t contain the euphoric feeling that I’ve been experiencing at this moment. Hopefully I could share it to you next time.

Btw, sorry for the short post. I just came from a thesis writing yesterday and my mind is not in a good state right now. God bless!

Advance happy graduation to all the 2014 graduates this March! ;)

Love month it is! I can’t believe Valentines day passed by just like that and it’s half of the month already. Hahaha! And if you notice the title of my blog sounds so cheesy right? I’m sure you expected something cheesy on this post but sorry guys, let me ruin your expectation. Always remember expectations lead to disappointment. Kidding!

I just want to share my post-valentine outfit to you cos I have nothing special to share about the occasion. Reason? I just spent the whole day doing boring stuffs for our case presentation as our academic requirement. How lame..

Anyway, I hope you had a lovely hearts day. Spread love <3

Hello to my very first post for 2014!!! How time flies so fast. Yesterday was only 2013 and now it’s another start of a new beginning! And I’m too excited on what has been waiting for me this year. Although I don’t have any pending events coming, but there are actually two things that I am looking forward to: 1.) My last year in college 2.) I’m turning twenteen! Yes, I’m no longer teenager.. It’s sad that I’m starting to feel old already but, in fact, it challenge me to become a better person and to be more responsible on every decision that I’ll choose and actions that I’ll make. So I really have to prepare myself, and be ready to face everything that 2014 has stored for me.

How time flies so fast. It’s half of the week and I guess I’ve already learned a of lot from school activities and reflected more about myself.

Just to let you know, my last clinical rotation for this year just ended and it became a memorable experience for me since it’s my first time to be assigned in a psychiatric area. Entering such place with a mentally challenged people surrounding you, feels like you’ve welcomed yourself to the reality of life. The first time I saw the people and the facility, I couldn’t actually believe that these really exist. Seeing those patients suffering from their illness made me realize that I’ve been lucky enough that I grew up normal and could handle myself well. I just couldn’t avoid to feel pity and to show my sympathy for them because I saw how rough to be in that kind of situation. *cries* It’s totally different. It’s a huge tragedy. Hayyy, I think I’m being too emotional already. :’(

Anyway, I reflected the title of my blog from our activity in the area earlier, Art Therapy in which we gave each patients with papers and crayons and asked them to draw anything that they want to draw. And from the results of their drawing, my professor told me that “There is a reason behind everything.” meaning, their drawings showed to us the reasons why they were admitted, what type of personality they have and what feelings they are feeling in the present. How interesting right?

And from this experience, I could say that in life, in everything that we do, in everything that we say, in everything that we feel there’s a WHY that always follows. :)

Thank you for reading! :)

A wonderful end of the semestral break and a perfect day of early little Christmas shopping this year. It was a great opportunity for me and my friend, Maricar since we were able to find cheap pieces and stuffs here, and luckily I got something for myself. Another thing is that we had the chance to greet one of our favorite style bloggers, David Guison. So we just died! Literally died! Kidding! :p

By the way, below are the sneak peek of the stuffs we found in the bazaar, but you can check more of these here ;)

My Kind of Sunday

image

Hi! I am currently alone in my room, lying on bed, listening to my favorite playlist, waiting for my lunch to be delivered, reading Lang Leav’s Love & Misadventure and drafting blogs. Lame I know..

But to tell you honestly, I just really want to be alone right now. I feel like I need more time for myself because I know for the past few days, I’ve been lost and already forgotten the Glaiza I met before.

I have lots of things running on my mind right now that I can’t verbalize.. So just to have a hint about it and to describe what has been haunting me, I’ll just leave you with this song..

Instax Captured Smiles

Instax is a brand of instant still cameras and films marketed by Fujifilm since the late 1990s. There are two formats of Instax film and cameras − the original “wide” format which gives an image approximately 60mm x 99mm, and a “mini” format of 62mm x 46mm. (wikipedia)

The one that I own is the Fujifilm Instax mini 8 which is a basic point and shoot camera that takes instant photos and develops them like an old school Polaroid camera. The analogue camera looks like a toy and and is guaranteed to have serious hipster appeal. (trustedreviews.com) It was released in the year 2012 but became a trend in the Philippines just this year. This camera has 60 mm f/12.7 lens, 1/60s shutter speed and automatic exposure. I bought this camera few weeks after my birthday as a gift for myself. But before I purchased it, I was still hesitating because this camera is a sort of expensive. Since it is not the usual digital camera nowadays that you can only save it on the computer and print it using a photo machine. It needs a film which costs 400 to 600 per pack. Each pack contains 10 films. Costly right? But once you have it, its kinda addicting to capture every moments of your life.

Anyway, I just want you to share the 1st set of my instax photos

So this was my first ever selfie instax pic. Sorry if I’m still wearing my uniform. It was taken at a coffee shop while I’m studying for an exam.

Next, lovely pic with my best friend during our friend’s debut celebration. Cute isn’t it?

College best friends! (drinking session)

With the best mom in the world!! :)

With the my friend, Maricar and the style blogger, David Guison

I am just really happy because I’ve been eye-ing this camera ever since and I can’t believe that I have it now. LOL. Btw, if you want to purchase for yourself. It has 5 different colors available (pink, black, yellow, blue and white).

For now, ito muna.. I stil have to prepare for a party later. I just really hope you like my post about it.

Thank you so much for reading! Happy weekend guys!

xx, Glai

Inspiration

I know I just posted a blog earlier and while encoding it, I can’t stop thinking of what or who will be my inspiration on my future outfits. And as I scroll down my album, I came up with Jessica “Jess” Day a.k.a Zooey Deschanel of New Girl, an American television sitcom (I mentioned it on my previous post).

image

I decided to be her as my fashion inspiration because I like how she mixes the colors of the rainbow on her outfit, how she combines the pastel colors and how she carries herself on her simple pieces. It really suits her bubbly, naughty and girly character on the series. Her looks are really cute and I guess this style will fit my petite body frame. From it, I realize that fashion and beauty is not actually revealing a skin nor wearing good-looking and expensive pieces but it is dressing up comfortably and how you carry yourself.

To be much more familiar of Jess, here are the sample outfits she wore

So as I look at the pictures, I think I have to start collecting dresses and skirts hahaha! By the way, I’m so tired now, I’m still sick and my body’s already begging for rest. I just leave you with this for a while.

Hoping you’d look forward to my posts. Thank God its Friday! Have a great weekend ahead! xoxo :)
